Have you ever felt performance pressure or felt intimidated in a Yoga class? Would you like to start or continue your yoga journey in a safe environment, where Yoga is taught for modern bodies and a modern lifestyle?
Well, you might have just found me! There is a place for everybody and every body in my classes. Whether you are a complete beginner, a regular practitioner or just curious! I am going to help you enjoy your practise, and practise Yoga to help you move better to feel better.
By acknowledging that each body is unique, powerful, and purposeful, my classes provide room for students to better understand and work with their own physicality.
Why my classes and my method?
Curious about functional movement and overall mobility, and perhaps influenced by my dancing background, I bring to my classes creative flows that allow you to explore how beautifully your body moves. I create a unique and explorative experience for your mind and body in every class. My approach is about being curious about exploratory movement vs traditional asana.
My classes are suitable for all levels so wherever you are in your practice (even if you have not started yet!) you will build strength and flexibility, work towards a peaceful mind and most importantly have fun and feel good!
In a friendly and encouraging environment, with an attentive and individualised approach to learning, community-led and focused on a long-term healthy and sustainable practice.
Why mobility is important?
Mobility is the ability to move or be moved freely and easily. But mobility is also the way we exist: we move from place to place, and so does our body.
Mobility training combines mobility exercises that increase the range of movements and motions the body can perform to apply to the yoga practice. And it depends from person to person, as the requirements and needs differ. It is a great support for the yoga practice because it bridges the gap between flexibility, movement and motion.
Incorporating mobility drills, movement-specific flows and explorative asanas to a yoga practice allows room for curiosity, inquiry and understanding of movement potential.
